Ancient Indian Aircraft :Vimanas and the Vaimanika Shastra
The Vaimanika Shastra is an early 20th century Sanskrit text on aeronautics, claimed to be obtained by mental channeling, about construction of vimānas, the "chariots of the Gods".
The existence of the text was revealed in 1952 by G. R. Josyer, according to whom it is due to one Pandit Subbaraya Shastry, who dictated it in 1918-1923. A Hindi translation was published in 1959, the Sanskrit text with an English translation in 1973. It has 3000 shlokas in 8 chapters and was attributed by Shastry to Maharishi Bharadvaja,[14] which makes it of purportedly "ancient" origin, and hence it has a certain notability in ancient astronaut theories

WTF! : Dude poses as secret agent and persuades friend to kill mother
Corderral Smith used props from a board game to convince the hired killer that he was a legitimate agent working for the US Government.
He faked an arrest warrant which described his 50 year-old mother Gloria Ryan as "dangerous and unfit to be around anyone."
Prosecutors said 22 year-old Smith convinced the hired killer Jason Rizzi that if he carried out the murder he would be hired as an undercover agent.
Even after his arrest for murder Rizzi was convinced that Smith was really a secret agent.
Texas Ranger Frank Huff said Rizzi kept repeating one question: "Are you sure Smith isn't an agent?"
The details of the bizarre murder for hire plot emerged at the trial of Smith in Cleveland, Texas.
As well as claiming to be a secret agent he also posed on MySpace as a hip hop mogul and posted photographs of himself sitting in front of several weapons mounted on the wall......
Planet Gliese 581g: There Goes The Neighborhood
Astronomers say they have found an Earth-like planet Gliese 581g which could support the conditions needed for life.
Gliese 581 g (pronounced /ˈɡliːzə/) or Gl 581 g, is an extrasolar planet, orbiting the red dwarf star Gliese 581, approximately 20.5 light-years away from Earth in the constellation of Libra. It is the sixth planet discovered in the Gliese 581 planetary system and the fourth in order from the star. The planet was discovered by the Lick-Carnegie Exoplanet Survey after more than a decade of observation. Despite the Gliese 581 system having a "somewhat checkered history of habitable planet claims," results from the study imply that the planet is located in the middle of the "Goldilocks", or habitable zone of its parent star, where the existence of liquid water is considered a strong possibility.
The discovery of Gliese 581 g was announced in late September 2010, and it is believed to be the first Goldilocks planet ever found, the most Earth-like planet, and the best exoplanet candidate with the potential for harboring life found to date. The detection of Gliese 581 g in such a short period of time and at such a close proximity, leads astronomers to believe that the frequency of habitable planets around other stars may be much higher than was once thought.

Ancient OS: The Greek Antikythera Mechanism
The Antikythera mechanism, is an ancient mechanical computer designed to calculate astronomical positions. It was recovered in 1900–01 from the Antikythera wreck, but its complexity and significance were not understood until decades later. It is now thought to have been built about 150–100 BCE. The degree of mechanical sophistication is comparable to late medieval Swiss watchmaking. Technological artifacts of similar complexity and workmanship did not reappear until the 14th century, when mechanical astronomical clocks appeared in Europe...

HRP-4のデモ
Created in partnership with Kawada Industries, this 151-centimeter (5-feet) tall, 39-kilo (86-pound) walking followup to the HRP-4C, HRP-3 and HRP-2 robots. The HRP-4 has been designed to help with manufacturing duties in a rapidly aging Japanese workforce. The highly mobile HRP-4 features 34-degrees of movement with AIST proprietary control software running on a Linux core. The robot can strike poses in response to voice commands, and it can also detect and track human faces and certain objects. AIST and co-developer Kawada Industries plan to start selling the HRP-4 in January next year. The robot itself plus the software necessary to control it will cost $325,000.

UGH! : The Fairlight CMI
The Fairlight CMI was a development of an earlier synthesizer called the Qasar M8, an attempt to create sound by modeling all of the parameters of a waveform in real time. Unfortunately, this was beyond the available processing power of the day, and the results were disappointing. In an attempt to make something of it, Vogel and Ryrie decided to see what it would do with a naturally recorded sound wave as a starting point. To their surprise the effect was remarkable, and the digital sampler was born--Analog sample-playback units using tape had been around since the 1950s, such as the Chamberlin keyboard and the Mellotron..........
More Fyah!!!!!:Spontaneous Human Combustion
Spontaneous human combustion (SHC) is a name used to describe alleged cases of the burning of a living human body without an apparent external source of ignition. While there have been about 200 cited case worldwide over a period of around 300 years, most of the alleged cases are characterized by the lack of a thorough investigation, or rely heavily on hearsay and oral testimony. In many of the more recent cases, where photographic evidence is available, it is alleged that there was an external source of heat present (often cigarettes), and nothing occurred "spontaneously."
