The HRP-4C is a humanoid robot created by the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology, a Japanese research facility, and publicly demonstrated on March 16, 2009. It is 158 cm (5 feet, 2 inches) tall and weighs 43 kg (95 pounds) including battery. Its shape and joints are based on the 1997–1998 Japanese body dimension database. It is capable of recognizing ambient sounds and, by using the speech synthesizer Vocaloid, can sing. Recent upgrades have allowed HRP-4C to mimic human facial and head movements as well as execute dance steps, resulting in the most human-like performance yet at Tokyo's Digital Content Expo in 2010.
The Martin Jetpack is the world’s first practical jetpack. It consists of a purpose-built gasoline engine driving twin ducted fans which produce sufficient thrust to lift the aircraft and a pilot in vertical takeoff and landing, enabling sustained flight. The Martin Jetpack is creating a new segment in the aviation and recreational vehicle markets. Initially designed with the leisure market in mind, commercial demand for the Martin Jetpack has seen the research and development programme focus on readying the product for use in a number of sectors including emergency response, defence and recreation, with numerous applications in each sector. Two versions of the Martin Jetpack are in the final stages of development. An unmanned remote-controlled (UAV) version is well advanced in its development, with field trials expected to begin in the second quarter of 2011. The UAV field trials will significantly improve the capabilities of the Martin Jetpack for both manned and unmanned flight.

The Vaimanika Shastra is an early 20th century Sanskrit text on aeronautics, claimed to be obtained by mental channeling, about construction of vimānas, the "chariots of the Gods". The existence of the text was revealed in 1952 by G. R. Josyer, according to whom it is due to one Pandit Subbaraya Shastry, who dictated it in 1918-1923. A Hindi translation was published in 1959, the Sanskrit text with an English translation in 1973. It has 3000 shlokas in 8 chapters and was attributed by Shastry to Maharishi Bharadvaja,[14] which makes it of purportedly "ancient" origin, and hence it has a certain notability in ancient astronaut theories

"...Our most common and God-given rights have been taken away from us. Unfortunately, the reality of our lives is so grim that nobody wants to hear it. Now, I've been asked what we can do? I think we need a responsible body of people that can actually represent us rather than Big Business. This body of people must not allow the introduction of anything into our environment that is not absolutely biodegradable or able to be chemically neutralized upon production. And finally, as long as there is profit to be made from polluting the Earth, companies and individuals will continue to do what they want. We have to force these companies to operate safely and responsibly, and with all our best interests in mind. So that when they don't, we can take back our resources and our hearts and our minds and do what's right."
